For the past year, JC Farms Marketplace has offered sweet tea kits made with good, honest ingredients. Each one had its own name. Each one had its own flavor. They gave customers a simple way to make a pitcher of Southern sweet tea at home, and we were proud to share them.
But as we kept mixing, tasting, packing, and listening, we realized those kits were only the beginning.

Why we went back to the farmhouse table
There comes a point in small-batch work when “good enough” no longer feels good enough.
Our first tea kits helped us understand what people loved. Customers wanted tea that felt familiar, but still special. They wanted sweet tea with real flavor, not just a hint of something poured into a pitcher. They wanted blends they could serve to guests and feel proud of.
That pushed us to look closely at what we were making.
The ingredients were good. The idea was good. But the structure behind each kit was too similar. If we wanted to create something with true character, we needed to start each tea blend from the ground up.
That meant asking better questions.
What leaf belongs at the center of this blend?
What kind of sweetness fits the flavor?
Should the finish be floral, warm, bright, creamy, fruity, or gathered around the holidays?
Those questions changed everything.
Instead of taking one base and dressing it in different flavors, we began building each blend around a complete flavor story. The tea base, sweetener, and finishing extract all needed to work together. No shortcut could carry the blend. Every ingredient had to earn its place.
